What is SunEmployment?
SunEmployment is the Bermuda Sun newspaper’s print and online employment advertising site.

All employment ads printed in the Bermuda Sun, including the official listing of Government careers, are posted online on the SunEmployment website. Employment ads may also be created on the website for display online and in print by clicking on ADVERTISE AN EMPLOYMENT POSITION.

SunEmployment includes an email alert system for registered users, with daily and immediate alerts in the users’ chosen categories.
Who can post an employment ad on SunEmployment?
Anyone can place an online and/or print employment ad on SunEmployment. You must register for a SunEmployment account and sign in before you create your ad. If you already have a bermuda.com or SunShopper account, you may sign in on the SunEmployment site with your username and password for that account.
How much will my ad cost?
Online-only employment ads are FREE for up to 14 days on the website.

Ads printed in the Bermuda Sun are displayed online free for 14 days. Regular printed rates apply. Available sizes and rates are:
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 3 inches high - $108 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 150 (no logo)
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 4 inches high (eighth page) - $144 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 200
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 5 inches high - $180 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 250
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 6 inches high - $216 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 300
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 7 inches high (quarter page) - $252 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 350
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 8 inches high - $288 per insertion
    Maximum word count for text submissions is 450
  • 3 columns (5 inches) wide x 9 inches high - $324 per insertion

How do I pay for my print employment ad?
You will be asked to pay for your ad at the end of the ad creation process. You may pay online by credit card using our secure payment gateway or on an existing Bermuda Sun account.
I have a Bermuda Sun account but I don’t remember the account number.

How do I set up a Bermuda Sun account for my company or organization?
Please contact our accounts department at (441) 295-3902 to inquire about setting up a Bermuda Sun account.
The system shows six date options for print advertising, but I want to place my ad in an earlier edition.
The deadline to place a print ad in the Wednesday edition of the Bermuda Sun is 10am Monday. The deadline for Friday’s edition is 10am Wednesday. The system will automatically display the next six available print dates depending on the day and time you place your order.

In some cases it might be possible to print your ad in an earlier edition. For example, if you place your ad at 10:30am Monday, after the deadline, it might still be possible to insert your ad in Wednesday’s edition, depending on space. Before you complete the ad process, please contact our advertising representatives at (441) 295-3902 to discuss options.
I have a camera-ready space ad in PDF format. How do I use that for my print ad?
You may upload your PDF file using the PDF file upload field during the ad creation process. The file will be used for your print ad and will be linked to your online ad to allow potential job applicants to download and print the PDF.

Your camera-ready ad must conform to the correct dimensions specified when you select your ad size in Step 1: Pricing and Dates (see What print ad sizes are available? below). Your camera-ready ad must be submitted in PDF format and must be at least 300dpi (print resolution).

Will I receive an invoice for my order?
When payment for your order has been approved, you will receive an email from sunemployment@bermudasun.bm confirming the submission of your ad and the total charges applied to your credit card or Bermuda Sun account. You order summary will be attached to the email in printable PDF format, which can be viewed with Adobe Reader.
How do I cancel my online and/or print ad?
Before payment is processed, you may cancel your print and/or online ad on the SunEmployment website by clicking on MY ACCOUNT> My Ads. Click the Cancel link next to the ad you wish to remove.

Once payment has been processed you must contact our accounts representative Talia Braithwaite at (441) 278-1835 to cancel your print ads and discuss any available refund.

After ad approval by a site administrator, online ads may be cancelled by emailing sunemployment@bermudasun.bm.
How do I change my ad or print dates?
To change your print employment ad or print dates, you must contact our advertising representative Carlita Burgess at (441) 278-1852 or email cburgess@bermudasun.bm to discuss options.

To make changes to your online ad, please email sunemployment@bermudasun.bm.

When you renew an employment ad, you will have the opportunity to change both your online and print ad. See How do I renew my online and/or print ad? below.
How do I renew my online and/or print ad?
Click on the SIGN IN link at the top right of the website and log in. In the top right corner, click on MY ACCOUNT > My Ads. Click RENEW next to the ad you want to renew. Follow the steps to resubmit your order. You may edit your ad or change your order during this process.
When will my ad appear online?
Our site editors and accounts department must check your order and process your payment before your ad is displayed online. This process is usually quite quick, but it can take up to 24 hours for approval. SunEmployment ads will only be processed during regular business hours.
What do I do if I forget my password?
Click on the SIGN IN link at the top right of the website. Click on “Click here” below “Forgot your password?”. Enter your account email address and your password will be sent to the email address on file.
How do I change my password?
Click on the SIGN IN link at the top right of the website and log in. In the top right corner, click on MY ACCOUNT>Account Settings. Enter in your new password twice in the fields on the form and click SAVE.
How do I change my username?
Your username is unique to your account and cannot be changed.
How do I change my email address?
Click on the SIGN IN link at the top right of the website and log in. In the top right corner, click on MY ACCOUNT>Account Settings. Replace your existing email address with your new email address on the form and click SAVE.
How do I change my email alert settings?
Click on the SIGN IN link at the top right of the website and log in. In the top right corner, click on MY ACCOUNT>Email Alerts. Change your alert preferences and click SAVE.
